Recently, Chen Shihua, Deputy Secretary General of CAAM(the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers) , stated at the third EVH2023 New Energy Power General Adult Conference, "Currently, effective domestic demand has not yet been fully released, and China's auto consumption recovery is still relatively lagging behind. The cumulative production and sales in the first two months have significantly decreased compared to the same period. According to information learned by key enterprises, it is expected that the production and sales of automobiles in the first quarter will decrease by about 10%. From April to June, the market will continue to recover, taking into account the low base in the same period last year, showing a positive year-on-year growth. It is expected that the

production and sales of 12.4 million vehicles in the first half of the year, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year."

According to data from the Passenger Car Federation, from March 1 to 26, the retail sales of 1.021 million passenger car vehicles in the market decreased by 1% year-on-year and 17% year-on-year. Since this year, 3.7 million vehicles have been retailed, a year-on-year decrease of 15%. On March 1-26, the retail sales of new energy vehicles in the market reached 387000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 10% and a month-on-month increase of 1%. Since this year, the cumulative retail sales have reached 1157000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 18%.

At the wholesale end, passenger vehicle manufacturers nationwide wholesale 1.146 million new vehicles, down 8% year-on-year and 19% year-on-year. Since this year, 4.212 million vehicles have been wholesale, a year-on-year decrease of 14%. Among them, the wholesale volume of new energy vehicles was 406000, an increase of 27% year-on-year and a decrease of 11% year-on-year. Since this year, a total of 1.29 million vehicles have been wholesale, a year-on-year increase of 22%.
